Ingredients:
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank steak, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch
Mix well and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat
Add the marinated steak to the hot skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until its browned
Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside
In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger
Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and add black pepper and crushed red pepper flakes if desired
Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes
Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and garnish with chopped green onions
Serve the Chinese Pepper Steak Stir-Fry hot over cooked rice
