This Chinese Pepper Steak Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dinner option. Thinly sliced flank steak is marinated in a savory sauce and then stir-fried with colorful bell peppers, onions, and aromatic seasonings. Its a perfect balance of spicy and savory, making it a delightful dinner choice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank steak, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch

Mix well and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat

Add the marinated steak to the hot skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until its browned

Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside

In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger

Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp

Return the cooked steak to the skillet and add black pepper and crushed red pepper flakes if desired

Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes

Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and garnish with chopped green onions

Serve the Chinese Pepper Steak Stir-Fry hot over cooked rice
