Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 pickle slices
- Ketchup and mustard to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Season with salt and pepper
Grill or cook patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare adjust cooking time for desired doneness
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned
Assemble the burgers: Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a tomato slice, a burger patty with melted cheese, diced onions, pickle slice, and condiments ketchup and mustard
Top with the other half of the bun
Serve hot, and enjoy your classic cheeseburger
